We’re thrilled to share that Tran Phung Nghi, Founder of Recycle Dalat, and Lee Yang, Secretary, were selected to attend the YSEALI Impact Showcase Workshop, follow-up to the YSEALI 2023 Summit from 27 – 30 July in Jakarta!
During this incredible journey, we had the opportunity to visit the ASEAN Secretariat and learn from Dr. Piti Srisangnam, Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation. We also enjoyed a memorable dinner at the U.S. Ambassador to ASEAN’s residence, where we met Kate Rebholz, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Mission to ASEAN (USASEAN) in Jakarta.
Most importantly, we learnt about the amazing work of four Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative YSEALI Summit participants from Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste at the America Center in Jakarta. This session was open to the public, and many YSEALI alumni attended the event too! It was a fantastic networking opportunity to engage and reunite with other YSEALI alumni.
Throughout the workshop, we also gained insights into the inspiring work and best practices of 29 young talented leaders from 11 Southeast Asian countries, and were inspired by their successful and motivational stories.
The experience was incredible, and the both of us forged strong bonds and relationships during the workshop. We wish all the attending leaders success in their future endeavours and may we have a chance to collaborate with these talented peers in the future!
