Empowering the Future: The ‘Plastic Heroes’ Event in Yangon, Myanmar

Hello Everyone!
Today, on April 30th, Sein Mya Team and Recycle Dalat held an event called ‘Plastic Heroes’ at Sein Mya Center For Youth, which is a green school in Hlegu District, Yangon Region, Myanmar. In this event, Instructor Aung Pyae Khant shared how to dispose of waste properly and how to live a life of reducing plastic consumption, and Instructor Khant Min Thu and Hnin Wut Yee facilitated a dance activity for collecting plastics and waste. Furthermore, Sein Mya Founder Teacher Kyi Nue Mya , along with Teacher Moon also participated by teaching the children some poems and knowledge.
We had an incredible time today educating children about the importance of proper littering and the negative consequences of plastic pollution affecting our environment. It was heartwarming to see the strong enthusiasm and interest that the children showed toward making a positive change.

We shared the drawbacks of pollution on our planet. We highlighted the importance of littering systematically and reducing plastics to prevent further damage to our environment.
At the end of the event, we took a group picture with the kids, and we couldn’t help but feel proud of them and the amazing work we accomplished together. We want to thank everyone who participated and helped us spread the word about the importance of preserving our environment.
We very much thank you to Seed Grants, Winner Team Recycle Dalat, Sein Mya Team, instructors, collaborated organizations, volunteers, and the Youths. We are proud to celebrate this event. Let’s continue working towards a cleaner, healthier planet!
